Cites of dystopia
For my final images i decided to go with black and white. My idea was to take a pretty simple image and transformed the whole focal point/aspect of the image. For the one on the left i decided to Photoshop a jet into the image because i felt the angle was perfect to put something in the sky. By doing this the whole image was changed and the style/mood/perspective was directed into a whole different category. In the left image i took a city landscape and changed the entire image bringing ti into a sort of superhero/mysterious state; almost as if it was out of a comic book. I really wanted to challenge myself through Photoshop and really use it in ways that are harder, and ways I had not tried yet. I think it all paid off in the end.
Contemporary Photography
For this set, my contemporary photographer took many photos of cars. I used similar Photoshop techniques to create my own set of images of cool cars around the city. I tried to take photos of different style of cars, a safari SUV, old Volkswagen camper and of course a Tesla. I really wanted to bold the edges and colours in the body style o the vehicles with higher contrast to make them all stand out as the clear subjects in the images. Each one has a vibrant style, that plays off with an abstract feel to the photo. With the one on the left appearing more futuristic and the middle feeling like a commercial, they altogether have more urban style.
Studio portraits
For this set, I really wanted to get different shots of the model. I aimed to part my models poses from others to get a real distinct different style. I am really please with the results and I am in love with the middle photo. I also love how bright the models eyes are in two of the images and i really had fun with this project. I am very pleased, this being my first time taking portraits, they turned out better than I had hoped.
Double Exposure
Double exposure... What does that mean? To me, I used double exposure to bled two very different photos into one diverse and imaginative image. Each of these photos tell their own story, and have their own mood. I love the way you can simply look at one image and it instantly makes you think.., that was the objective here. Inside each image, the two photos used have very different colour schemes but I managed to blend them creating very great transitions, as the photo is changing as you look across it. Everything about this set screams fairy tail and imagination, which is another aspect I love.
Christmas photography
For my winter/Christmas photography I chose to shoot some Christmas lights. I felt that the amount of colour and vibrance I was able to capture really highlighted the set. Instantly you are stolen by the beams of light these photos share and I really enjoy looking at them. each photo has a very different setting but they all go together very well, complimenting each other. My favourite would have to be the one on the right because i love the reflection of the red light on the fresh snow. I hope this set captures the winter spirit!
Levitation Project
The idea of escape, rolled in with a range of ideas. One of which; escape to your imagination. My levitation project aimed to capture a fairy tail theme, something along the lines Snow White or Cinderella. This image targeted some sort of magical world, where anything is possible, where levitation could be surreal. My levitation project started off slow, but over a few days of editing the results provided a great outcome. I chose to take pictures of my sister reaching for some seeds that remained on the vines growing up our shed. The idea was; when we removed the chair, it would appear that she's floating while picking the seeds. I aimed for a fairy tail fantasy style because I think the whole idea of a levitation and would evolve best around that topic. After all, fairy tails survive within your imagination. If there was one thing I struggled with, it would have to be the shadows, but after some practice I was finally able to perfect the shapes the way I wanted. The contrast turned out perfect too and its one of the things I love most about the image. I hope you enjoy it!
Photographic representationThis project describes some aspects of my personality, my life interests and goals. I wanted to have a neutral tone to the collage, driving me to go with black and white. Every photo displays something that has meaning to me. Ever since I was a kid, me and my family have been going camping. This is why I chose the picture of the cabin, woods and the dirt bike. I learned to bike while camping and at the cabin and it has been a special place to me. The photos of the bridge, apartment, building and plane and the drafting studio express how ever since I was a child I've dreamed of becoming an architect and how its been my goal to travel the world and design buildings. The last photos of Avril Lavigne, the Audi r8 (car) and hockey describe my personal interests. These three things are special to me because I have a connection with all of them.

Fall Photos
These images are aimed to display senses related to fall. For motion, the image of the grass is representing the wind blowing across the yard. For Taste, I chose to shoot hot chocolate, showing how fall is a cold season. For sound, Fall experiences some windy days, making the wind chimes sound throughout the season. For smell, i chose to capture cutting wood, which is used to fuel fires. When the wood is damp, it gives off a fresh smell. For touch, I chose my dog Boston who currently has his warm, soft winter coat. Finally, For sight I chose to shoot My back gate, which is now overgrown with vines because it backs onto the bog. Altogether, I aimed to use warm colours in my photos because in fall, the colours of the leaves change to warm colour tones. Taking these photos allowed me to explore camera features and try new subjects. I feel these images give off a accurate representation of autumn.
